Brian Kellock is an acclaimed Scottish jazz pianist known for his distinctive, swinging style which draws on classic jazz influences. For 30 years, he has been the first-call pianist for visiting American jazz musicians, and a favourite choice of leading jazz singers who appreciate his skills as a sensitive accompanist.
A musician who is known for his tender, delicate solo ballads, his barnstorming trio numbers and his mischievous sense of humour, Kellock juggles gigs as leader of his original BK3 (which dates back to the 1980s) with duo concerts and solo outings.
He recently hatched a new band, Brian Kellock’s Marty Party, which channels the music and spirit of living jazz legend Marty Grosz – the perfect tonic for post-pandemic audiences.
